I am on the train now (so I spoke really softly). We're on our way to a city in the southwest of France. The train journey from Montpellier to Bayonne takes about 6 hours. this city is farther south than Bordeaux. so it's really close to Spain. actually I've never heard of this city before. so of course I've never been to either. I'm really excited about the trip this time. I am just five minutes away from the beach.

we're going to have breakfast now. this is the café recommended by the locals. here is it! VOLT. the scone is so hugeeeee. I ordered a latte and a banana cake. we'll ride scooter to the beach. It's the place where I've seen many people ride scooters (but of course it's still less than the amount of scooters on Taipei Bridge). because I barely see people ride scooters in France.

I think this beach could be one of the longest continuous sandy coastlines in Europe. I believe it can be extended to the northwest of France. the coolest thing is that because this city is close to the beach (here is beach everywhere on the west coast of France). so if you ask the teenagers or kids.

what is their favorite sport or which sport are you good at. normally in Taiwan, we'll response basketball, baseball or volleyball...etc. but what people response you here is surfing.

I am in the city center of Biarritz. I have a habit. I will buy postcards at the places that I've never been to. this postcard is so pretty. I picked these two in the end. Macaron de Saint-Jean-de-Luz. It's a different kind compared to the macaron parisien we typically see.

we decided to have lunch in this restaurant. we ordered a plate of Pad Thai for lunch. and these are mussels. people said the mussels in France are really delicious. so I'm gonna try it! (they're good indeed). we just finished the lunch. we will have some desserts after the meal. there is a really good gelato next to this restaurant. here we are! eventually we ordered the flavors of apricot and strawberry.

our mission tonight is that we need to find a restaurant or bar that has the best view for sunset. we're heading back home to take a nap now. There're so many people chilling and relaxing on the beach. Early dinner before watching the sunset 🌇. You won't believe how good this Gua bao is... It's the best Gua bao that I've ever had.

the locals gave us a recommendation of a restaurant bar. they said the Hollywood stars like Tom Cruise and Leonardo DiCaprio have visited this place before. this is that restaurant bar - Carlos. the sunset in France right now is at around 8pm. it's 7pm now and we've already arrived this restaurant bar. good morning everyone. we are in their traditional indoor market right now. to see if there're any delicious and local food. they sell everything in this traditional indoor market. like ham, cheese and desserts. this is the best ham here.

I will give a try. eat directly?! Hmm it's really good. there are sweet crepes and salty crepe (galettes) in France. they showed the sources of all the ingredients on this map. we ordered two galettes.

I am going to try it now. there are ham and egg inside. of course there is cheese as well. it's delicious. I am really in love with galettes. I just ate the galettes and the best ham. and now we're going to eat the most delicious burger in this city. the plan today is like in the night market. we're gonna eat/try lots of small dishes.

we took away the burger and ate in the park next by. This weather is so suitable for picnicking. The buses in the city are so small and cute. we're in the city center of Bayonne. This is the city we arrived in by train from Montpellier a few days ago. this city is voted as top 2 best-living city in France in 2023.

if you've visited France for several times already. but you've never been to the southwest of France. then you absolutely need to add this city in your trip to France next time.
